Hidden and Dangerous was one of the first of the modern-day "soldier sims", which is to say that it was marketed as a realistic military simulation, a kind of Rainbow Six set in WW2. It was also one of the first major international successes from an Eastern European development team, and helped to establish the Czech Republic in particular as a hotbed of talent. As with the Rainbow Six, Hidden and Dangerous owes a little to the puzzle genre, particularly Commandos, a WW2 game which had been released the previous year. The soldiers in Rainbow Six were rather like clockwork robots, in that you planned their movements in advance, before the beginning of each mission. Whilst playing the game you could order your soldiers to halt in place, and you could directly take over their movements one at a time, but you had no way to alter their programmed movements. If something went wrong, your plan fell to bits, and there were no way to flexibly improvise. It was as if the game was a simulation of the Soviet command economy. Hidden and Dangerous uses a system whereby you issue orders during the game, and it is this model which has become the standard. It works well, although you generally only use it to move your soldiers towards the action, or order them to watch a certain point, whilst you control them directly during the tricky parts. There is a diverse range of missions, set in snowy Norway, the forests of France and on a ship in the middle of the ocean. I liked this game, I really did. I liked it a lot. Counter-Strike is a first-person shooter in which players join either the terrorist or counter-terrorist team (or becomes a spectator). Each team attempts to complete their mission objective and/or eliminate the opposing team. Each round starts with the two teams spawning simultaneously, usually at opposite ends of the map from each other. A player can choose to play as one of eight different default character models (four for each side, although Counter-Strike: Condition Zero added two extra models, bringing the total to ten). Players are generally given a few seconds before the round begins (known as "freeze time") to prepare and buy equipment, during which they cannot attack or walk/move (a player can still take damage, having the player drop from a certain height during freeze time was the only way somebody could control the players starting "HP"). They can return to the buy area within a set amount of time to buy more equipment (some custom maps included neutral "buy zones" that could be used by both teams). Once the round has ended, surviving players retain their equipment for use in the next round; players who were killed begin the next round with the basic default starting equipment. Standard monetary bonuses are awarded for winning a round, losing a round, killing an enemy, being the first to instruct a hostage to follow, rescuing a hostage or planting the bomb. The scoreboard displays team scores in addition to statistics for each player: name, kills, deaths, and ping (in milliseconds). The scoreboard also indicates whether a player is dead, carrying the bomb (on bomb maps), or is the VIP (on assassination maps), although information on players on the opposing team is hidden from a player until his/her death, as this information can be important.

Killed players become "spectators" for the duration of the round; they cannot change their names until they spawn (come alive) again, text chat cannot be sent to or received from live players; and voice chat can only be received from live players and not sent to them (unless the cvar sv_alltalk is set to 1). Spectators are generally able to watch the rest of the round from multiple selectable views, although some servers disable some of these views to prevent dead players from relaying information about living players to their teammates through alternative media (most notably voice in the case of Internet cafes and Voice over IP programs such as TeamSpeak or Ventrilo). Honestly, I always feel as if I have to explain that bit, even if 99% of the readers here already feel the same way. Anyway, the most important part of Grand Theft Auto III is the gameplay. For those who haven't ever played the series (GTA1 and GTA 2 on PC and PlayStation), Grand Theft Auto III is a hybrid game comprising driving, shooting, exploring, and in the truest sense, role-playing. Players start off as a nameless criminal, who in the midst of a bank robbery, is double-crossed by his girlfriend, shot, and left for dead. As the "kid," "friend," or whatever your latest boss decides to refer to you as, you escape from the police through a mysterious high-level hit-and-run, and begin life again with the help of your friend 8-Ball and the Italian Mafia. From there, the game leads players through an odyssey of non-linear missions for various factions of organized crime, from the Italian to the Japanese mafia and on. The 3D world of Liberty City is on a scale that's truly epic, consisting of three large urban areas, the industrial, commercial and suburban districts, each with appropriate architecture, landscapes, and aggressive, distinctive AI. What makes Grand Theft Auto III so different than other games in the series is the volume of characters, cut-scenes, and story imbedded in nearly every mission, large or small. Players find that their missions are packed with characters who are acted out at a professional level, and who perhaps sound more far more realistic than their simplistically visual caricatures reveal. The game actually does have a beginning, middle and end, too. Players can choose missions from telephones like before, or they can be paged like before, but most often, there are central characters whose missions drive the story, and whose missions tell the story, too. Thus, players find that in amongst the throng of distracting missions and the humungous landscape that must be traversed, there is a central focus, and it's there when they're ready. If you were wondering, The Sims 2 is a great sequel and a great game in its own right, and it's recommendable to just about anyone. For some, especially the devoted fans that have enjoyed the first game's open-ended gameplay, which was all about controlling the lives of autonomous little computer people, this is all that really needs to be said. But considering that The Sims 2 is the sequel to what is reportedly the most successful computer game ever (and that's not even counting its many expansion packs), the new game almost seems like a victim of its own success. Yes, it introduces plenty of new features that enhance the gameplay that was so popular in the original game, but it doesn't drastically refresh it. It also features plenty of options to play with, but it seems like it could've used even more content. Then again, you could simply say that EA and Maxis are making sure the game has room to grow with future updates--and there's no denying that The Sims 2's additions will give dedicated fans of the series plenty of stuff to do. In the most basic terms, The Sims 2, like The Sims before it, lets you create one or more "sims"--autonomous characters with distinct personalities and needs. You then create a virtual household of one or more sims (you get to decide whether they're roommates, spouses, or parents) and move them into a house and a neighborhood that is either prebuilt or built from scratch. Your sims interact with each other and with their neighbors, children leave the house for school each day, and employed adults head out for work to earn a living in one of a number of different career paths. However, the sequel has several new options, including an enhanced neighborhood editor that lets you import custom cities from Maxis' own SimCity 4, if you have that game installed. Plus, there are expanded building options that let you build a much bigger house.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for the PC needs no introduction. Not only is this game in many ways better than its amazing predecessor Grand Theft Auto III, but it's also technically superior to the original version of Vice City that was released on the PlayStation 2 a number of months ago. Like GTAIII for the PC, Vice City is identical to the original PS2 version in terms of content, so if you've already played that version to death, you won't find the PC version to be much different. However, the PC version of Vice City does offer enhanced visuals and controls, improved loading times, and a few extra frills. More importantly, it offers the same refreshingly open-ended gaming experience, which has occasionally been reviled for its controversial subject matter, but has far more often elicited much-deserved praise. Simply put, if by some chance you've put off playing Vice City up till now, don't wait any longer. GTA: Vice City is an excellent follow-up to what was an amazing game to begin with. To be clear, Vice City is an extension of Grand Theft Auto III, rather than a completely overhauled sequel. That's definitely a good thing, because GTAIII's freestyle gameplay was extremely entertaining and offered tremendous replay value, yet still had more potential. Vice City fulfills a lot of that potential, as it features improved production values (including over eight hours of licensed music and plenty of Hollywood voice actors), new types of drivable vehicles (motorcycles, helicopters, and golf carts), new weapons, better vehicle damage modeling, indoor environments, and more.

A game of Warcraft III takes place on a map of varying size, such as large plains and fields, with terrain features like rivers, mountains, seas, or cliffs. In Campaign mode, the map is initially covered with the Black Mask, a dark layer which obscures the landscape beneath until it is explored. The Black Mask, once gone, is permanently removed. Areas that have been explored but no longer are within sight range of an allied unit or building are covered with the fog of war. Though terrain remains visible, changes such as enemy troop movements and building construction are unseen. During a game, players must establish settlements to gain resources, defend against other players, and train units to explore the map and attack enemies. There are three main resources that are managed in Warcraft III: gold, lumber, and food. The first two are required to construct units and buildings, while food restricts the maximum number of units the player may control at one time. The game also introduces creeps, computer controlled units that are hostile to all players. Creeps guard key areas such as gold mines or neutral buildings and, when killed, provide experience points, gold, and special items to a player's hero. This encourages players to be aggressive instead of turtling. Warcraft III also introduced a day/night cycle to the series. Besides having advantages or disadvantages for certain races, at night most creeps fall asleep, making nighttime scouting safer; however, the line of sight for most units is also reduced. Other minor changes to the gameplay were due to the 3D terrain. For instance, units on a cliff have an attack bonus when attacking units at lower elevations.

In previous Warcraft games, there were only two playable races, Orcs and Humans, which had more similarities than differences. Barring cosmetic changes, most Orc units were identical to their Human counterparts. In Warcraft III, the Night Elves and Undead are added as playable races. Additionally, as in StarCraft, each race has a unique set of units, structures, technologies, and base-building methodology. Warcraft III adds powerful units called heroes. For each enemy killed, heroes gain experience points, progressing in levels and gaining new spell options (bringing RPG elements to the series). Certain heroes can also apply beneficial auras to allied units. Heroes can equip items to increase skills, defense, and other abilities. The highest attainable level in a normal game is ten. At level six, the hero can obtain an "ultimate" skill that is more powerful than the other spells. The sign of a truly great expansion pack is when, having played it, you realize you could never go back to the original game. After all, truly great expansion packs don't just add new content--they add real depth, and fundamentally make the core game better. Blizzard Entertainment knows the drill when it comes to delivering these sorts of products. Its follow-up releases for 1998's Starcraft and 2000's Diablo II were so effective and so good that many, many people are still playing both of those games today, all these years later. Given Blizzard's track record with expansion packs, it's understandable that fans of the company's games would have very high expectations for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Last year's real-time strategy game was a very tough act to follow on any number of levels, and yet Blizzard has delivered a terrific, full-featured expansion for Warcraft III that makes an already outstanding game significantly more so.

The Frozen Throne features four single-player campaigns and completely revitalizes the skirmish and multiplayer gameplay. To say the least, there was a lot to like about Warcraft III in the first place. The game's single-player campaign delivered an interesting and engaging story told from four unique perspectives, its online multiplayer mode was the best in the real-time strategy genre, its four distinctly different factions featured numerous viable strategies and tactics, its gameplay was focused on action and rewarded skill and practice, and its powerful scenario editor let you design your own missions or entirely new gameplay modes using the game's great-looking 3D engine. Basically, The Frozen Throne adds to and improves on every single one of these features, and more. If you enjoyed Warcraft III's single-player campaigns, you'll be pleased to know that The Frozen Throne offers at least as much if not more single-player material. The campaign picks up where Warcraft III left off, in the aftermath of the banishment of the burning legion. The renegade half-demon Illidan and the death knight Arthas are at the center of the story, as both of these power-hungry characters are seeking to take control of a world already ravaged by conflict. You play the campaign missions linearly, just like in Warcraft III, starting with the night elf sentinels, then moving on to the remnants of the human alliance, and finally taking control of the undead scourge. Battle Realms Download

Battle Realms, the first product from Liquid Entertainment, has style in spades--everything about it is slick, and it's noteworthy for that reason alone, as well as for many others. It's a martial-arts-themed real-time strategy game featuring dozens of great-looking units from four unique factions, impressive graphical effects, and an innovative resource model. It has a polished, attractive presentation, an open-ended campaign, and several good multiplayer modes. Battle Realms does have a few gameplay issues that diminish some of its strategic appeal, as the action can prove to be difficult to manage. But it's still a very worthwhile experience despite these things and should provide many hours of enjoyment for all kinds of real-time strategy players. The setting and characters of the game are clearly inspired by some of Hong Kong's most spectacular martial arts films--particularly the work of director/choreographer Tsui Hark--as well as some of Japan's action-packed comics and animated films, like the gory and stylish Ninja Scroll. The incredible fight sequences featured in last year's film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon are also a good frame of reference for what you can expect from the battles in Battle Realms. Nothing is mundane in the game's fictional Far East-like world--even simple peasants can fight as trained martial artists should the need arise. All the game's various units and characters don't just stand adjacent to each other and hack away, as in most other real-time strategy games. Instead, they'll attack with a variety of moves and techniques and put on quite a show in the process. Thanks to the game's beautifully animated fully 3D units, not to mention the attractive terrain graphics and the overall detail found in the game, Battle Realms certainly looks impressive.

True to its source of inspiration, combat in Battle Realms can be quite chaotic. You actually have little control over your units besides being able to move them about (you can make them run by double-clicking), order them to attack, and initiate their special abilities if they have any. It's surprising that you can't do more with your units. They're very autonomous--they'll automatically rush to attack nearby foes, prioritize threats properly, and even switch between ranged and melee attacks as necessary. The pathfinding in the game is great--tell your units to go somewhere, and they will, stopping to fight any enemies along the way. But you can't set your units in formations and must instead move them as a rabble (though the rabble moves at the speed of the slowest unit in the group); and the pacing of the combat can be so fast that you'll just have to wait and see whether your forces survive. It can be very difficult to pull units out of battle, as they will seem to keep trying to lurch back into the fray. Also, since the game's units are large and tend to spread out when they fight, it can be all the more difficult to keep track of everything that's happening in a big battle, since it won't all fit onscreen.

Winter of the Wolf is placed in a historical fantasy setting largely inspired by martial arts movies and anime. The player controls a range of military units in order to complete objectives set in a series of campaigns. These units can be commanded to construct useful buildings or fortifications or attack enemy units or buildings. Player controlled units can be grouped together in order to coordinate movement and attacks. The game is broken down into a series of 11 single-player campaigns and 30 multi player maps. The campaigns start off simple in nature, with the player controlling a single character. As the story unfolds, military units are encountered that ally themselves to the player. In later campaigns, the player can order the construction of buildings and units in order to complete objectives and solve puzzles.

Winter of the Wolf features a number of environmental features that were unique at the time. As the campaign progresses, winter begins to set in, changing the terrain from a tundra to a snowscape. Day and night cycles are also present, providing further variations to the campaigns. The musical score is also dynamic, changing according to events occurring in the game. The story begins with Grayback, the last heir to the Wolf clan's throne, explaining that long ago that life was better for their clan before the storms came and drowned their paradise. They were saved from death by their druidess order using their clan's most sacred treasure the white wolf's skull, given to them by their clan's totem, the white wolf. The skull guided them to the lands of the Serpent empire where their new neighbors the Serpent and Lotus clan welcomed them as allies but unfortunately they trusted them.Thinking that their lives seemed simple and good again little did they now that Lord Zymeth of the Lotus clan made a deal with the Serpent emperor and attacked them by surprise. The Serpent clan looked away as the Lotus burned their towns and killed their people, many wolvesmen tried to fight back but were unsuccessful, the survivors of the battle became slaves in the Lotus shale mines, ever since then Grayback trained his fellow miners in the arts of war, led them to rebellion and struggle for freedom from the grip of their slave master Mistress Yvaine. Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 is the sequel to the popular 1996 spin-off of Westwood's definitive real-time strategy game. The latest game in the successful series isn't a dramatic technological improvement over any of its predecessors, and its hammy alternate-World War II setting borders on being tasteless. However, Red Alert 2 is a very polished game that combines tried-and-true play mechanics with enough new features, improvements, and enhancements to make it both an excellent sequel and a great real-time strategy game in its own right. Red Alert 2 retains many of the conventional mechanics established and reused in the various Command & Conquer real-time strategy games. As with its predecessors, Red Alert 2 encompasses most all of the elements that define the genre. You view the action from an isometric perspective typical of most other 2D real-time strategy games, and you play using most of the same exact controls from previous Command & Conquer episodes. The formula still works just fine - you can easily select and move your groups of units, which generally do a good job navigating the game's environments. Red Alert 2 doesn't offer any especially advanced options for your units - for instance, you can't move or array your troops in preset formations, and you can't order your troops to automatically scout or return for repairs and such. But it's just as well, because the units are autonomous in more important ways - they're good about automatically acquiring enemy targets, and they're generally responsive to orders, if only because the game itself plays very smoothly. Even so, you might initially have some trouble directing your attacks, because it can be difficult to see incoming enemy units on the game's minimap, especially at higher resolutions. Also, when you set units to battle groups, the number corresponding to the group appears a little too large next to each unit; it can almost eclipse some of the smaller infantry. These minor problems may take getting used to, while most other aspects of Red Alert 2's interface just make the game more accessible and more rewarding as you get better at it. For instance, you can set waypoints for several groups of units and thereby conduct these groups simultaneously, though doing so might not always be viable in the heat of battle. Command and Conquer: Yuris Revenge Download

Don't be compelled to buy Yuri's Revenge, the official expansion to last year's Red Alert 2, just because the box shows a mind-controlling maniac giving you the cold stare--besides that, there are plenty of perfectly good reasons for owning the game. This impressive add-on to the fun and frantic Red Alert 2 does what other great real-time strategy expansion packs, such as The Conquerors for Age of Empires II and Brood War for Starcraft, have done before--it makes an already great game even better, not only by piling on new features, but also by adding enough significant enhancements that the result stands out as being not just broader than its predecessor, but legitimately different. That means Yuri's Revenge will more than likely renew your interest in Westwood's over-the-top game. The original Red Alert 2 was set during a near-future war between the Allies and the Soviets--a serious-sounding premise, but Red Alert 2 didn't take itself seriously. Actually, the game's sense of humor proved to be one of its strong suits, as it gave the designers license to come up with some truly bizarre units--the Soviets could deploy mind-controlled giant squids, while the Allies had access to elite troopers whose special weapons could literally erase their foes out of time. Yuri's Revenge steers Red Alert 2 even further toward the absurd--most notably, the game introduces an intriguing, all-new playable faction headed up by the titular Yuri, a renegade Soviet psychic. Yuri, played with panache by veteran creepy-character actor Udo Kier, has assembled a truly unusual army composed of various evil gadgets, mind-control weapons, and experiments-gone-awry. Yuri's forces are the enemy in the two new campaigns featured in Yuri's Revenge--one for the Allies and one for the Soviets, each with seven big missions. It's too bad that Yuri doesn't get his own campaign--but you can control his forces in skirmish or multiplayer modes. Many of Yuri's units are very interesting. His Gatling tanks fire faster and faster upon their targets--if you can protect them long enough, they'll eventually be dishing out huge damage at a tremendous rate of fire. These flimsy units can be great for defense from within Yuri's tank bunkers--immobile fortifications that let his tanks fire on attackers without fear of retaliation. Meanwhile, the mastermind unit, a strange tanklike vehicle, can automatically mind-control any enemy unit that crosses its path--it mind-controls units automatically, but the catch is that it starts short-circuiting if it mind-controls more than three. Yuri also commands legions of Incredible Hulk-like mutants called brutes, which can go toe-to-toe with enemy tanks. He has defensive structures that automatically mind-control groups of units that enter their sphere of influence--truly an imposing obstacle. Plus, he's got a very nasty nuclear submarine in his arsenal. Altogether, Yuri's new faction is very different from those of the Soviets and the Allies--even his ore harvester, called the slave miner, is nothing like the harvesters for the other sides. It's a self-contained refinery, and slave units automatically shovel ore into this armed platform to fuel Yuri's war effort. Like the other two factions, Yuri's side has a lot of personality and largely consists of units that are well designed, memorable, and worth using in most any battle. Yuri's forces are physically weak when directly compared with those of the Allies and Soviets--but they can be used to devious effect. Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun download

As a highly-anticipated sequel to Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn, Tiberian Sun follows the continuing struggle for world domination between the Global Defense Initiative and the Brotherhood of Nod, and the struggle between humanity and the alien Tiberium substance. The game story is a follow up to the original, in which the Nod leader Kane resurfaces from death with renewed vigor, funds, and manpower. The game's theme revolves around the matter of the origin of Tiberium and its terraforming properties. The game uses an isometric perspective with varying terrain height. Dynamic lighting allows for day/night cycles and special effects, such as ion storms. Maps feature cityscapes where units could hide or battle in urban combat. Some buildings and armored units are rendered with voxels, although infantry is still rendered as sprites. The full motion video is also scripted differently; while the cutscenes of Command & Conquer and Red Alert were filmed from a first-person perspective, Tiberian Sun used traditional cinematic shots for its FMVs featuring well known Hollywood actors such as James Earl Jones of the original Star Wars trilogy and Michael Biehn of Terminator and Aliens. Tiberian Sun was speculated to be a BattleMech-type game, as shown in a teaser video in Command & Conquer, but later proved to follow the real-time strategy formula. However, three mech units (the Wolverine, Titan, and Mammoth Mark II) were featured in the game, replacing some of the more conventional jeeps and tanks that were featured in Tiberian Dawn. The game took on a unique approach never before seen in a C&C game before or after its conception. The developers took an "eliminate the rush" approach to the RTS genre. Their goal was to rid the game of spamming a mass of units. They used many methods to achieve this. This included larger maps, defensive rather than offensive lower tiered units (allowing players to have the option of building up a strong economy or the choice of teching up quickly and harassing with higher tiered units), the EMP Cannon (to disable a mass of enemy units), carpet bombing/flame tanks (to quickly eliminate infantry rushes and/or vehicles), fast transportation to get behind enemy lines via air or subterranean transportation, Ion Storms that disable aircraft and hovering units, and much more. This was a controversial play style that many players failed to appreciate over most other C&Cs that have their harassing units on a lower tier limiting players in the ability to turtle successfully in online matches. The expansion pack, Command & Conquer: Firestorm, took the storyline to new heights of complexity and introduces new missions and new gameplay features. Instead of featuring GDI against Nod as in earlier Command & Conquer games, GDI and Nod were shown as being compelled to join forces in order to overcome Nod's renegade artificial intelligence, CABAL. As a highly-anticipated sequel to Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn, Tiberian Sun follows the continuing struggle for world domination between the Global Defense Initiative and the Brotherhood of Nod, and the struggle between humanity and the alien Tiberium substance. The game story is a follow up to the original, in which the Nod leader Kane resurfaces from death with renewed vigor, funds, and manpower. The game's theme revolves around the matter of the origin of Tiberium and its terraforming properties. The game uses an isometric perspective with varying terrain height. Dynamic lighting allows for day/night cycles and special effects, such as ion storms. Maps feature cityscapes where units could hide or battle in urban combat. Some buildings and armored units are rendered with voxels, although infantry is still rendered as sprites. The full motion video is also scripted differently; while the cutscenes of Command & Conquer and Red Alert were filmed from a first-person perspective, Tiberian Sun used traditional cinematic shots for its FMVs featuring well known Hollywood actors such as James Earl Jones of the original Star Wars trilogy and Michael Biehn of Terminator and Aliens. Tiberian Sun was speculated to be a BattleMech-type game, as shown in a teaser video in Command & Conquer, but later proved to follow the real-time strategy formula. However, three mech units (the Wolverine, Titan, and Mammoth Mark II) were featured in the game, replacing some of the more conventional jeeps and tanks that were featured in Tiberian Dawn. The game took on a unique approach never before seen in a C&C game before or after its conception. The developers took an "eliminate the rush" approach to the RTS genre. Their goal was to rid the game of spamming a mass of units. They used many methods to achieve this. This included larger maps, defensive rather than offensive lower tiered units (allowing players to have the option of building up a strong economy or the choice of teching up quickly and harassing with higher tiered units), the EMP Cannon (to disable a mass of enemy units), carpet bombing/flame tanks (to quickly eliminate infantry rushes and/or vehicles), fast transportation to get behind enemy lines via air or subterranean transportation, Ion Storms that disable aircraft and hovering units, and much more. This was a controversial play style that many players failed to appreciate over most other C&Cs that have their harassing units on a lower tier limiting players in the ability to turtle successfully in online matches. The expansion pack, Command & Conquer: Firestorm, took the storyline to new heights of complexity and introduces new missions and new gameplay features. Instead of featuring GDI against Nod as in earlier Command & Conquer games, GDI and Nod were shown as being compelled to join forces in order to overcome Nod's renegade artificial intelligence, CABAL. Spearhead begins with a scene that could have been taken straight out of Band of Brothers: It's D-Day, and you're on a transport plane that will soon drop you into Normandy. As explosions rock the aircraft, you stand up, perform an equipment check, and then take your turn jumping out of the plane. Once outside, you descend 3,000 feet through a chaotic sky full of other paratroopers, AA tracers, planes, and bursting shells, finally crashing through the roof of a barn crawling with Nazis. The entire episode is presented seamlessly, and it's one of the most impressive opening scenes ever created for a first-person shooter. What follows are nine levels spread across three missions in France, Belgium, and Germany. Like Allied Assault, Spearhead doesn't offer much in terms of plot, opting for straightforward missions that aren't interrupted by a great deal of pointless exposition. Most of Allied Assault's gameplay highlights are revisited with new environments and a few tweaks. For instance, in one level, you drive a Russian T-34 tank through the destroyed streets of Berlin. However, the tank controls have been changed a little since Allied Assault--you can now operate the machine gun mounted on the turret, as well as the main cannon. In another example, instead of having you run from cover to cover at Omaha beach, Spearhead features a level in which you scramble between foxholes as a forest in Ardennes explodes around you.
